Flexible Ceramic Pad (FCP) Heaters

Flexible Ceramic Pad (FCP) Heaters are made from 95% Al2O3. These pad heaters are assembled of interlocking sintered alumina ceramic beads which insulate stranded nickel-chrome wire. This durable construction forms a flexible mat of remarkable mechanical strength.
The 80/20 nickel-chrome wire is very corrosion and heat resistant. Due to its electrical resistance it gets heated when connected to a power source.The pad heaters are used as heating sources in furnaces and industrial process equipment operating at temperatures of up to 1100°C. 

Applications
FCP heaters are used as heating sources in furnaces and industrial process equipment operating at temperatures up to 1100°C. It is also used in post heat treatment of weld joints and preheating of materials to be welded. Heating Elements operate on low voltage (80 volts or less on AC or DC current) such as that supplied by a typical arc welding power source. These mats are basically used as flexible and mobile ovens.

Forms of Delivery

The mats are commonly made of 95% Al2O3. Their modular design permits a variety of element shapes, sizes, and thermal capacities to choose from. Weldstone supplies standard mats, tiles or parts acc. to drawing. Most common elements are as follows:
